Shaw Farm sits hits high on the Wiltshire downs, with the ancient Wansdyke just yards away. We are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the farmyard where classes are held in old converted buildings opens right out into the fields. In the evenings you can stay on and work, or head out through the barns and take a walk across the farm.

My daughter, Eleanor, and her family have moved into Shaw House, now called Shaw Farm, while I am across the yard in a wonderful new house. I converted an old calf shed and am very snug and happy. We will be having lunch in Little Shaw, which is even closer to the workshop than before.

Transport: We are ten minutes drive from Marlborough, where you’ll find many restaurants and pubs. Several of my friends and neighbours offer bed and breakfast accommodation, and Chris or I can meet you at bus or train station (Swindon or Bedwyn), then ferry you around as needed.

Times: The courses run from Tuesday to Thursday, starting at 9:30 and finishing at 5:30, though many people stay later to work.

We hope that your visit to Shaw will be happy and relaxed, and that you will enjoy our beautiful countryside if you can tear yourself away from the workshop!
